Kapi’olani Medical Specialists (KMS) is a specialty physician group dedicated to caring for Hawai’i’s women and children through excellence in academics, physician training, medical research and clinical care. The group is comprised of over 100 Specialists, Nurse Practitioners and other staff, covering newborn to women’s health services at Kapi’olani Medical Center for Women & Children. KMS operates exclusively for charitable, scientific and educational purposes, offering highly specialized care options at Kapi’olani and building support for these services within Hawai’i as a whole. The group’s specialty areas include: Neurology, Orthopedics,Genetics, Adolescent Medicine, Otolaryngology, Behavioral Health Services, Hematology/Oncology, Neonatology, Pediatric Intensive Care, Family Medicine and the full spectrum of Pediatric Specialties. Its Women’s specialists include Breast and General Surgery, Adult Hospitalists and GYN Oncology.

The team of trained doctors at the Kapi‘olani Pediatric Gastroenterology department is one-of-a-kind in the state and provides comprehensive care for infants, children and adolescents suffering from gastrointestinal disorders. These can range from abdominal pain and constipation to hepatitis and malabsorptive disorders.

You could gain valuable first-hand clinical operations and health care experience as a Clinic Assistant. In this role you would perform routine tasks ranging from monitoring supplies to administering health care to patients of all ages to supporting departmental staff. We are looking for someone diligent and motivated, who enjoys learning in a fast-paced clinical environment and shares our commitment to creating a healthier Hawai‘i.

Minimum Qualifications: High school or equivalent. Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR card.

Preferred Qualifications: Completion of medical assistant program and/or equivalent experience.
