Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care, critical care experience, and familiarity with various medical procedures and technologies. This role requires excellent clinical judgment, the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care across various settings.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations and vital signs monitoring.
  • Administer medications and injections as per protocols, ensuring adherence to safety and aseptic techniques.
  • Manage acute pain and provide triage services in emergency situations.
  • Collaborate with physicians in diagnosing and developing treatment plans for patients.
  • Document patient information accurately in electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks.
  • Participate in clinical research and data collection for ongoing studies.
  • Provide care in various settings including outpatient clinics, hospitals (Level I & II trauma centers), urgent care facilities, and during telehealth consultations.
  • Assist in procedures such as suturing, catheterization, airway management, and cardiac catheterization.
  • Educate patients on health management strategies including nutrition, physical activity, and chronic disease management.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations while managing medical records.

Requirements

  • Valid Physician Assistant license with relevant certifications.
  • Experience in critical care, emergency medicine, or hospital medicine preferred.
  • Proficiency in EMR systems; familiarity with ICD-9/ICD-10 coding is a plus.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques.
  • Strong skills in patient assessment and management of acute conditions.
  • Experience with pediatric care or geriatrics is beneficial.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills for patient interaction and education.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.

Pay: $150,000.00 – $180,000.00 per year
