Administrative/Marketing Design Assistant

The Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm operate a multi-state, not-for-profit senior living organization. We are located on pristine property overlooking the Hudson River in Germantown, New York.

We are seeking to fill the position of Administrative/Marketing Design Assistant.

  • Part-Time, 3 days/week; 8:30am to 4:30pm OR 9am to 5pm.
  • $33 to $38 per hour based on skills and experience.
  • Lunch provided every day.
  • Very pleasant work environment.

Administrative/Marketing Design Assistant Introduction: This role provides clerical support to the Secretary General as well as design, production, printing and distribution of special event/project materials.

Administrative/Marketing Design Assistant Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent; College degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an Administrative Assistant or graphic design position.
  • Proficiency with graphic design software such as Publisher, Photo Shop and/or other design software.
  • Proficiency with MS Office products such as Word, Excel, Access, Power Point and Outlook.
  • Experience with business standard creation of letters, memorandums and reports.

Administrative/Marketing Design Assistant Job Summary:

CLERICAL:

  • Data entry, maintenance, running queries and printing database reports.
  • Preparation of letters, cards, invitations, newsletters and other materials as necessary.
  • Management of RSVP and other aspects of anniversary events, jubilees and other special occasions.
  • Clerical duties such as filing, copying, folding, stapling, shredding.
  • Office equipment maintenance; ordering of supplies; orderliness of Supply Closet and Copy Room.
  • Assist Mother Angeline Society as needed.

DESIGN:

  • Design, prepare and print Community materials such as invitations, pamphlets, brochures, prayer cards, posters, vocation literature, business cards, Mass booklets, hymn sheets and cards and other liturgical and special event materials.

MARKETING:

  • Provide photographs for the Carmelite Sisters website and Community publications such as Carmel-Lite, Avila Bulletin and Mother Angeline Society Bulletin.
  • Assist in the design and placement of ads for journals, newspapers, magazines, etc.
  • Laminate materials, binds booklets and scans/prints photographs.
