Physician Assistant – Cardiology & Vascular MedicineLocation: Dunn, NC 28334Job Type: Full-Time | On-SiteSchedule: Monday to Friday (with on-call responsibilities)Salary: $110,000 – $130,000 per year (based on experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physician Assistant (PA) to join a growing cardiovascular team. This role focuses on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to adult and geriatric populations, with an emphasis on cardiology, vascular medicine, and chronic disease management.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in managing complex medical conditions, promoting preventive care, and collaborating within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including medical histories and physical examinations
  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, coronary artery disease (CAD), and vascular disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, particularly for elderly patients with complex needs
  • Provide preventive care services, including screenings, vaccinations, and lifestyle counseling
  • Coordinate care with specialists, therapists, and other healthcare providers
  • Educate patients and caregivers on disease management and overall health maintenance
  • Maintain accurate and compliant medical documentation in accordance with HIPAA standards
  • Respond to patient inquiries and manage urgent care needs, including home visits when required
  • Stay current with advancements in cardiology and vascular medicine and apply evidence-based practices
  • Participate in team meetings and quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Active North Carolina PA license (PA-C preferred)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in cardiology preferred (new graduates with strong interest in geriatrics are encouraged to apply)
  • Experience managing chronic conditions and geriatric patient care
  • Familiarity with EMR systems and ICD-10 coding
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Compassionate, patient-focused approach with attention to detail
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
