Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join a growing cardiovascular team. This role focuses on providing high-quality, patient-centered care to adult and geriatric populations, managing chronic conditions, and supporting preventive health initiatives in both clinic and home health settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including medical history and physical exams
- Diagnose and manage chronic and acute conditions (diabetes, hypertension, CAD, vascular diseases)
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans
- Provide preventive care (vaccinations, screenings, lifestyle counseling)
- Coordinate care with specialists, therapists, and care teams
- Educate patients and caregivers on disease management
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure HIPAA compliance
- Respond to patient needs, including in-home visits if required
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and team collaboration
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Active PA license in North Carolina (PA-C preferred)
- Minimum 1 year of cardiology experience
(New graduates with strong interest in geriatrics may be considered)
- Experience in managing chronic conditions
- Familiarity with EMR systems and ICD-10 coding
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience in cardiology and vascular medicine
- Background in geriatric patient care
- Ability to work in both clinic and home health settings
