Physician Assistant Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive patient care, conducting assessments, diagnosing conditions, and implementing treatment plans. This role requires a strong background in various medical specialties, including but not limited to acute care, geriatrics, and chronic care management. The Nurse Practitioner will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Duties

  • Conduct thorough physical examinations and assess patient health status.
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses.
  • Perform procedures such as suturing, IV insertion, and catheterization.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient assessments.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in various settings including hospitals, outpatient clinics, and assisted living facilities.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Skills
Candidates should possess a diverse set of skills to effectively perform their duties. Preferred skills include:

  • Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems
  • Knowledge of ICD-9/ICD-10 coding for accurate medical documentation.
  • Ability to conduct diagnostic evaluations and manage chronic diseases effectively.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $112,000.00 – $145,000.00 per year
