Description: Looking for a Bilingual (Spanish) TIME or FULL TIME PA WANTED for a Very busy Urology practice in Tustin, California.
The Physician Assistant supports with all aspects of patient care under the supervision of the medical provider. This includes assessing patient health by interviewing patients and performing physical examinations as well as supporting with diagnosis, treatments, and consultations. The Physician Assistant also performs the important task of educating patients about preventative care and prescribed treatments.
Physician Assistant
· Provide direct patient care in the ambulatory setting.
· Obtain relevant patient health history, focused to urological complaints, as comprehensive as needed to evaluate present issue.
· Integrate diagnostic tests and procedures into culturally sensitive genitourinary care.
· Analyze data, formulate and initiate plan of care for urology-based complaints.
· Develop a plan of care that includes medical, surgical, and/or radiological interventions as appropriate.
REQUIRED SKILLS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Knowledge of the use and maintenance of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care.
- Understanding of medical practice operations and organizational policies to administer patient care.
- Positive attitude with a customer service mindset, excellent interpersonal skills and ability to relate and interact with diverse clientele.
- Able to demonstrate compassion, patience and understanding of patients who may be confused, in pain, or sick.
- Proficient in the correct use of medical terminology.
- Must be a self-starter and able to identify initial and next steps needed.
- Demonstrate strong writing and oral communication skills.
- Excellent organization skills with the ability to multi-task.
- Flexible and strong desire to learn.
- Exceptional time management and prioritization skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently.
- Be comfortable navigating responsibilities with limited direction among multiple stakeholders.
- Proficient computer application skills including, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and additional software applications.
- Nextgen Software experience a plus
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor or Master degree from accredited physician assistant program
- Active Physician Assistant (PA) license in the State of California AND Active board certification as a PA
- Active Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) license
- CPR certification
Please be personable, motivated and a self starter! Urology experience a plus but not necessary. Salary starts at $65hr depending on experience. 401k, health/dental/vision insurance offered for full time.
