Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive primary care services, perform advanced clinical assessments, and develop personalized treatment plans for patients across all age groups. Your expertise will help promote health, prevent illness, and manage acute and chronic conditions in diverse settings. Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews to determine health status and needs.
  • Diagnose and treat a wide range of acute and chronic illnesses using evidence-based practices.
  • Administer medications, including injections, IV infusions, dermal fillers, botulinum toxin treatments, and other advanced procedures such as suturing and spinal taps.
  • Manage patient care plans utilizing EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems like Epic, eClinicalWorks, or Cerner to ensure accurate documentation and seamless communication.
  • Perform specialized procedures including gastroscopy preparation, catheterization, phlebotomy, and sonography when necessary.
  • Provide telehealth consultations to expand access to care while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Collaborate with specialists in areas such as gastroenterology, geriatrics, behavioral health, infectious disease care, hospice & palliative medicine, and emergency medicine to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Educate patients on health maintenance, medication management, nutrition, family planning, and disease prevention strategies.
  • Participate in clinical research initiatives or quality improvement projects to advance practice standards.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain meticulous medical documentation for legal and billing purposes.

Qualifications

  • Current Family Nurse Practitioner certification with valid state licensure.
  • Proven experience working in diverse healthcare environments such as hospitals (Level I & II trauma centers), emergency rooms, ICU units, nursing homes, assisted living facilities or outpatient clinics.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Athenahealth for accurate charting and data management.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), CPT coding for procedures and billing.
  • Experience performing complex procedures such as suturing, spinal taps, dermal fillers or esthetic laser treatments is highly desirable.
  • Critical care experience including ICU or trauma center exposure preferred; familiarity with acute pain management and ventilator management is a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments such as urgent care or emergency medicine settings while maintaining exceptional patient care standards.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams including behavioral health specialists or case managers.
  • Knowledge of Workers’ Compensation law and post-acute care practices beneficial; experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays is advantageous.
