Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Nurse Practitioner, Physician, or Physician Assistant to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate non-biased medical examinations of veterans who have served in the various branches of the Armed Forces for the purpose of determining severity of condition and possible service connection.
You will collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, compassionate care in a newly renovated modern office in Cliffside Park NY accessible to Northern NJ and NYC.
Responsibilities
- Conduct targeted independent patient assessments including physical examinations, vital signs, and medical history reviews to establish accurate assessment of the severity of the chief complaint. May involve a medical opinion regarding possible service connection and severity based on standard guidelines. You will not be treating or formulating a plan of care or provide orders or referrals.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems from VA Health for documentation of patient encounters, exam findings, history retrieval, and symptom coding.
- Extensive experience in not required: modular training is provided for multiple conditions as well as professional support
- Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy, (and musculoskeletal examination maneuvers) for accurate patient evaluation required.
- Experience working with veteran population a plus.
- Familiarity with Veterans Compensation processes and documentation requirements for (Government Disability Benefits Questionnaire (DBQ’s) a plus.

Pay: $100.00 per hour
