Registered Nurse (RN) – Pediatric Long-Term Care

Pediatric Complex Care of Arkansas (PCCA) is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to provide care for medically complex children in our long-term residential facility. This is an excellent opportunity for an RN to expand their clinical skills while making a meaningful impact on the lives of children with profound developmental delays and complex medical needs.

Education & Licensure

  • Must be a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) by the Arkansas Board of Nursing
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; pediatric experience preferred but not required

Position Overview

Under the direct supervision of the Director of Nursing, the RN provides nursing care to assigned residents, performing assessments, administering medications and treatments, and documenting patient care. The RN collaborates with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, nurse practitioners, and care staff, to ensure individualized and safe care for all residents.

Registered Nurse (RN) Responsibilities

  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered and document accurately
  • Assess changes in patients’ conditions and communicate findings to the healthcare team
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with Team Leaders, Physicians, and Nurse Practitioners
  • Maintain clear and accurate medical records, including documentation of condition changes
  • Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary team members and ancillary departments
  • Assume accountability for all patient care provided during assigned shifts
  • Evaluate patient safety and report potential hazards to the Team Leader
  • Order and receive medications from the pharmacy as prescribed
  • Provide CPR and assist with resuscitation as needed; maintain current CPR certification
  • Properly operate and assemble medical equipment (e.g., CPT machines, Bair Huggers)
  • Use tact, courtesy, and professionalism when interacting with children, families, visitors, and staff
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment
  • Ability to respond to emergencies and physically assist residents as needed
  • Commitment to teamwork, reliability, and patient-centered care

Pay: $33.00 – $42.00 per hour
