Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. In this vital role, you will leverage your extensive clinical expertise to deliver exceptional patient care across diverse settings, including acute care, outpatient clinics, and specialized units. Your advanced training will enable you to perform comprehensive assessments, develop treatment plans, and collaborate closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes. Duties

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and detailed medical histories across various populations such as pediatrics, geriatrics, and individuals with disabilities.
  • Manage complex medical conditions by developing and implementing individualized treatment plans aligned with current clinical guidelines.
  • Administer medications, including injections and IV infusions, following strict protocols and ensuring proper documentation in electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Epic or eClinicalWorks.
  • Perform specialized procedures such as suturing, catheterization, spinal taps, and dermal filler injections while maintaining aseptic techniques.
  • Coordinate diagnostic evaluations utilizing medical imaging, laboratory tests, sonography, and other diagnostic tools; interpret results for accurate diagnosis.
  • Provide telehealth consultations to expand access to care and support patients remotely through secure virtual platforms.
  • Engage in clinical research initiatives to advance evidence-based practices and contribute to quality improvement projects.
  • Educate patients on health management strategies including nutrition, medication adherence, pain management, and health coaching tailored to individual needs.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain meticulous medical documentation for legal and billing purposes using CPT coding and ICD coding standards.
  • Participate in discharge planning, case management, utilization review, and coordination of post-acute or hospice care services as needed.

Skills

  • Extensive experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation and data retrieval.
  • Proficiency in performing advanced procedures including IV insertion, phlebotomy, sterile processing techniques, catheterization, tube feeding management, ventilator support, and spinal taps.
  • Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology (including psychopharmacology), and diagnostic evaluation methods.
  • Critical care experience in ICU or Level I/II trauma centers; hospital medicine or emergency medicine background highly valued.
  • Skilled in managing acute pain cases using appropriate protocols; experienced in trauma care including Level I Trauma Center procedures.
  • Familiarity with occupational health protocols, Workers’ Compensation law compliance, infection control practices, and infection prevention strategies.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations including pediatric (pediatrics), geriatric (geriatrics), memory care patients with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease; experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs is a plus.
  • Competence in performing esthetic laser treatments and dermal fillers for cosmetic procedures; knowledge of CPT coding for billing purposes.
  • Experience in outpatient settings such as clinics or urgent care centers; inpatient hospital experience preferred.

Pay: $105,653.53 – $127,238.66 per year
