Duties
- Assist during surgical implant procedures, including placement of implants, All-on-X restorations, sedation cases and patient monitoring
- Prepare and maintain sterile surgical environments following aseptic techniques and infection control protocols
- Manage dental and medical documentation accurately within Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems such as Dentrix,
- Take dental X-rays, 3D scans, and other medical imaging to support diagnosis and treatment planning
- Support chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort
- Monitor vital signs and medical history of patients before, during, and after procedures to ensure safety
- Help Maintain inventory and clinical organization
- Coordinate with the dental team on medical coding, insurance documentation, and compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Educate patients on post-operative care, implant maintenance, and overall oral health strategies
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with a focus on implantology or advanced surgical procedures in a general or specialty dental setting
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques
- Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic; experience with medical records management is highly desirable
- Certification in X-ray technology; additional certifications in pediatric dentistry or endodontics are a plus
- Ability to perform vital signs assessment, medical documentation, and basic medical coding accurately
- Knowledge of 3D scanners, cone beam imaging (CBCT), and other advanced diagnostic tools used in implant dentistry
- Excellent communication skills as a dental receptionist or in patient-facing roles; ability to explain complex procedures clearly
- Commitment to ongoing professional development within general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, or pediatric dentistry fields

Options for condensed 3-4 day workweek (based on role) an easy commute from Salt Lake City (reverse traffic flow) with well maintained roads during winter + flexibility during major storms. We are not a revolving -door office- we hire carefully and invest in our team. Sign on bonus for the right candidate.
Pay: $23.00 – $29.00 per hour
