Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Internal Medicine Physician or Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive care to adult patients, focusing on the diagnosis and management of chronic and acute illnesses. This role requires a strong foundation in anatomy and physiology, as well as the ability to perform physical examinations and administer injections. The provider will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standards of patient care.
Duties
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and assess patient health status.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and medical history.
- Administer injections and other necessary treatments as per established protocols.
- Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and provide ongoing education to patients regarding their health conditions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including specialists in hospital medicine and behavioral health, to coordinate comprehensive care.
- Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
- Provide care for infants when necessary, ensuring adherence to pediatric guidelines.
- Stay updated on best practices in internal medicine to enhance patient outcomes.
Experience
- Proven knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to internal medicine practices.
- Experience in hospital settings, particularly in managing adult patients with chronic conditions.
- Familiarity with behavioral health issues and their impact on overall patient wellness is preferred.
- Previous experience administering injections is highly desirable.
- Strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care while adhering to established standards of practice.
