OverviewWe are a Growing Neurosurgical practice in Austin Texas, seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our neurosurgical team. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care. This role involves performing diagnostic evaluations, managing treatment plans, and ensuring adherence to public health standards. Duties
- Assist neurosurgeons in the operating room and provide pre-operative and post-operative care to patients.
- Conduct patient assessments and document medical histories.
- Perform physical examinations and interpret diagnostic tests.
- Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with the surgical team.
- Educate patients and their families about treatment options, procedures, and recovery processes.
- Participate in patient rounds and assist with consultations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history and physical examinations.
- Perform diagnostic evaluations and interpret diagnostic tests.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
- Administer botulinum toxin treatments as needed.
- Manage patient data using electronic health record systems, such as Epic.
- Ensure compliance with infection control standards and protocols.
- Participate in public health initiatives and community outreach programs.
- Document patient interactions and maintain accurate medical records.
- Assist in the coordination of radiation therapy for patients requiring such treatment.
- Engage in continuous education and professional development to stay current with medical advancements.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies or a related field.
- Current certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) and state licensure.
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems, particularly Epic.
- Experience or knowledge of botulinum toxin treatment is preferred.
- Familiarity with Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessments is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of public health principles and practices.
- Excellent diagnostic evaluation skills and ability to manage complex cases.
- Knowledge of infection control standards and practices within healthcare settings.
- Strong data management skills, including the ability to analyze and utilize patient data effectively.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on patient education.

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Pay: $130,000.00 – $140,000.00 per year
