Critical Care APP (Nights) – PRN Opportunity
Start Date: September 2025Contract Length: 3 months (with ongoing potential)Shift: Nights, 6:00 PM – 6:00 AMSchedule: PRN, 1–3 nights per month
We are currently seeking a skilled and independent Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) to provide night shift coverage in a 12-bed mixed medical/surgical ICU. This is a PRN opportunity perfect for an experienced critical care provider who thrives in an autonomous environment.
Job Highlights:
- Solo night shift coverage in a 12-bed ICU (not always at full capacity)
- Responsible for all ICU admissions, rounding on existing patients, and emergency response
- Support: On-call backup from academic intensivists and pulmonary critical care fellows; procedural support from ER if needed
- EMR: EPIC
- Patient Population: Adults only (no Pediatrics or OB)
Skills & Procedures Required:
- Ventilator management
- Code response and management
- Central line and arterial line placement (required)
- Intubation experience (strongly preferred)
- Ability to work independently with confidence
Ideal Candidate:
- At least 2 years of critical care experience as an APP
- Comfortable being the solo provider on night shift
- Confident in performing and managing ICU-level procedures
