Responsibilities:
- Patient Consultations: Conduct thorough consultations with patients to assess their skincare concerns, goals, and medical history.
- Treatment Planning: Develop customized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs and desired outcomes, utilizing a range of cosmetic dermatology procedures and techniques.
- Aesthetic Procedures: Perform a variety of cosmetic dermatology procedures, including but not limited to: injectables (Botox, dermal fillers), laser treatments, chemical peels, microneedling, and sclerotherapy.
- Patient Education: Educate patients about available treatment options, expected outcomes, and post-procedure care instructions, ensuring informed decision-making and optimal results.
- Procedure Assistance: Assist dermatologists and other medical staff during cosmetic procedures, providing support and ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Follow-Up Care: Conduct post-procedure follow-up appointments to monitor patient progress, address any concerns, and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records, documenting patient assessments, treatment plans, procedures performed, and outcomes.
- Quality Assurance: Adhere to established clinical protocols, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards to ensure the highest quality of care and patient satisfaction.
- Continuing Education: Stay current with advancements in cosmetic dermatology techniques, products, and technologies through ongoing education and training.
- Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with other members of the healthcare team, including dermatologists, nurses, and medical assistants, to deliver integrated and coordinated patient care.
Requirements:
- Education: Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Certification: Current certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) with specialization in dermatology or cosmetic dermatology.
- Licensure: Valid state license to practice as a Physician Assistant.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of clinical experience in cosmetic dermatology practice, with proficiency in performing aesthetic procedures.
- Skills: Demonstrated expertise in injectable procedures (Botox, fillers), laser treatments, and other cosmetic dermatology techniques. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and deliver exceptional patient experiences.
- Aesthetic Eye: Keen aesthetic sensibility and attention to detail, with the ability to achieve natural-looking results and enhance patients’ confidence and self-esteem.
