We are hiring for a Nocturnist position. A Nocturnist role requires working exclusively overnight shifts. Candidates must be comfortable with a nocturnal schedule and possess the ability to deliver exceptional patient care during nighttime hours.

Local Team Collaboration:
- Join our established team at Heart Hospital of Austin. We have been managing the ICU at HHOA since February 2021 and are now expanding our program by adding APP’s to our team.
- Heart Hospital of Austin is home to one of the largest non-academic cardiovascular research programs in the world. Our hospital has been named a 50 Top Cardiovascular Hospital in the nation by IBM Watson Health for 12 years running. Additionally, for four consecutive years, Healthgrades has awarded St. David’s Medical Center (which includes Heart Hospital of Austin and St. David’s Georgetown Hospital) the America’s 100 Best Hospitals Award.
- 14-bed CVICU with mostly cardiac critically ill patients, although we do have general ICU cases. We have an advanced heart failure program with a growing ECMO and LVAD services.
Qualifications:
- Graduate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Active Physician Assistant license or eligible to become licensed in Texas.
- Must be proficient in performing ICU procedures (intubations, arterial lines, and central lines)
- 2 years of ICU experience in the scope of a PA-C
Practice in the Heart of the Community
Scheduling:
- Block schedule
- Advanced Practice Providers work 15 night shifts per month on average. We work together to make a monthly schedule that we can all agree upon.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing care to patients in the ICU.
- Admit patients to the ICU and perform procedures
