Job Title: Physician Assistant (PA) or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) Location: Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, MD

Job Description: Johns Hopkins Hospital is seeking a dedicated and skilled PA or ACNP to join our Surgical Intermediate Care Unit (SIMC). This role provides a unique opportunity to deliver exceptional patient care in a collaborative and dynamic healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop treatment plans, and monitor patient progress.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures (e.g., central line placement, arterial line placement, lumbar punctures).
• Manage patients with complex medical conditions requiring close monitoring.
• Educate patients and families about treatment options and preventive care.

Participate in rounds, case conferences, and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree from an accredited PA or ACNP program.
• Current NCCPA certification (for PAs) or ACNP certification.
• Active Maryland state licensure or eligibility.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in critical care, ED, or intermediate care preferred.
• Advanced clinical skills, critical thinking, and excellent communication.
• Ability to thrive independently and within a fast-paced team environment.
