Job OverviewColorado Springs Interventional Pain Management, PC is seeking a part-time Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner or APP with experience in interventional pain management or orthopedic spine. This is a very busy clinic serving predominately commercially insured patients. This position is responsible for patient evaluations, ordering procedures, post-procedure follow-ups and medication management. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in trigger point injections, ultrasound guided intra-articular joint injections and management of intrathecal pain pumps. Salary is commensurate with experience and skill proficiency.

Requirements:

· 2 years’ experience

· Graduate of an accredited PA program

· Must be able to work in an autonomous role and carry own patient load

· Ability to see a minimum of 20 patients per day

· Current DEA license

· Must have current Colorado state license

· Current BLS certification

· 2 years’ experience with pain management sensitive polypharmacy

· Experience weaning opioid dependent patients

· EMR/Data input proficiency a must

· Evaluation and management coding expertise – 99201-99215

· Ability to determine ICD-10 pain management codes

Responsibilities:

· Clinic position only, no OR

· Ability to document in EMR, ensuring completeness and accuracy in a timely manner

· Ability to identify and proactively solve problems independently

· Provide post procedure follow up care

· Interpret imaging studies (MRI, CT, X-Ray)

· Assess for and recommend procedures i.e. epidural steroid injections, medial branch blocks, radiofrequency ablations, nerve blocks, spinal cord stimulators and intrathecal pain pumps

Pay: $56.41 – $61.54 per hour
