Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in various settings, including clinics and hospitals. This role requires a strong understanding of medical procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals. The Physician Assistant will also have opportunities to engage in telehealth services, clinical research, and acute pain management.

Duties

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and physical examinations.
• Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
• Perform diagnostic procedures and interpret diagnostic tests.
• Manage acute pain management protocols for patients.
• Document patient encounters accurately in electronic health records (EHR) using EPIC systems.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality.
• Participate in clinical research initiatives to improve patient outcomes.
• Provide telehealth consultations as needed, adapting care to virtual platforms.
• Educate patients and their families on health management and preventive care strategies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams within hospital medicine and medical offices to enhance patient care.

Requirements

• Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• State licensure as a Physician Assistant, with the ability to practice in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Strong clinical skills with experience in acute care settings preferred.
• Familiarity with data collection methods for clinical research purposes is advantageous.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare teams.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care while adhering to ethical practices.
