Full Job Description

We are seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to work directly with a pediatric neurosurgeon. This neurosurgery group is well-established, privately-owned and has a reputation for excellence with multiple locations across the state. This position is based in a hospital in downtown Philadelphia, providing a opportunity to work in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inpatient Care: Manage pre-operative and post-operative care for pediatric neurosurgery patients, including assessments, rounding, and coordinating with the surgical team.
  • Outpatient Care: Conduct patient evaluations, follow-up visits, and consultations in an outpatient setting, working collaboratively with the neurosurgeon and multidisciplinary team.
  • Shared Call Coverage: Participate in a rotating call schedule to provide timely and effective care for patients requiring urgent attention.
  • Care Coordination: Collaborate with nurses, social workers, and other healthcare providers to create comprehensive care plans and ensure continuity of care for pediatric patients.

Qualifications:

  • Current licensure as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the state of Pennsylvania.
  • Pediatric or neurosurgery experience is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
