Full Job Description
A successful Neurosurgery practice in San Diego, CA is seeking a full-time physician assistant or nurse practitioner to join their growing team! Ideal candidates will have at least 1+ years of neurosurgery experience, or experience working in another relevant surgical subspecialty (orthopedics, spine, or trauma surgery).
Responsibilities:
- Perform first-assist duties in the OR
- Rounding on hospital inpatients
- Treating patients in the clinic
- Patient histories, physical examinations, patient workups
- Management of post-operative patients
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a physician assistant in neurosurgery
- Previous experience as a physician assistant in another surgical field (orthopedics, spine, trauma, etc.)
- New graduate with a neurosurgery rotation will be considered
- Active California Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner License, or ability to obtain
- DEA License
