Full Job Description
An established cardiology practice in the Glendale, Arizona area is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join their team. This is a full-time, permanent role. Candidates will working alongside a team of Physicians and APPs. The role involves a mix of outpatient clinic and hospital rounding. Typical shifts are 7am-3:30pm or 8am-4pm. Occasional swing shifts 2pm-10pm (3-4 per month).
Responsibilities:
- 50/50 split outpatient/inpatient
- Examine patients, take medical history, record results, and make preliminary diagnosis
- Document patient care services
- Administer and order diagnostic tests
- Perform therapeutic procedures
- Exercise professional judgment regarding consultation with supervising physicians concerning appropriate treatment
- Develop and implement patient care plans, instruct and counsel patients, and record progress
- Prescribe medications
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care
Qualifications:
- Active Arizona State License
- Ability to build rapport with patients
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems
