Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) – Urology
Job SummaryA well-established and growing urology practice in Waukesha, Wisconsin, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with our urologists to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in both clinical and hospital settings. This is an excellent opportunity for an advanced practice provider (APP) with an interest in urology to develop specialized skills and contribute to a dynamic and expanding practice.
Responsibilities
- See new and follow-up patients in the clinic setting.
- Perform triage for patient concerns and coordinate appropriate care.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including history taking and physical examinations.
- Diagnose, treat, and manage urologic conditions with physician collaboration.
- Perform minor in-office and hospital procedures.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as urinalysis, imaging, and lab work.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and lifestyle modifications.
- Manage post-operative follow-ups and monitor patient progress.
- Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Document patient encounters in the Epic electronic medical record (EMR).
- Participate in hospital rounds, consults, and assist in inpatient management.
- No operating room (OR) time required.
Experience
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
- Licensure: Active NP or PA license in the state of Wisconsin (or eligibility to obtain one).
- Certification: Board certification as an NP or PA required.
- Experience: Prior experience in urology, surgery, or another related specialty is preferred but not required. New graduates with a strong interest in urology are encouraged to apply.
- Skills: Strong clinical reasoning, excellent communication, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 – $140,000.00 per year
