Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team at a Level I Trauma Center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in various settings, including clinics and emergency departments. This role requires a strong commitment to patient standards and the ability to work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and evaluations, including medical history and physical examinations.
- Perform diagnostic procedures such as spinal taps and medical imaging as needed.
- Administer treatments, including catheterization, under the supervision of a physician.
- Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Monitor patients’ progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
- Provide education to patients and their families regarding health management and preventive care.
- Maintain accurate medical records using Epic or similar electronic health record systems.
- Adhere to established standards of care and best practices in geriatrics and other specialties.
Schedule: 6 or 9-hour weekday shifts
No call required
Duties: 1st or 2nd surgical assistant, helping open and close all incisions pertinent to CT surgery, harvesting veins, etc.
Any active, unrestricted state license accepted

Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies from an accredited program.
- Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
- Experience in a Level I Trauma Center or similar high-acuity environment is desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective patient interaction.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to ethical standards in healthcare delivery.

Job Type: Contract
Pay: $116,910.00 – $150,000.00 per year
