Full Job Description

Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care. This role requires a strong understanding of medical practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The Physician Assistant will be responsible for assessing patients, diagnosing conditions, and developing treatment plans.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and physical examinations.
  • Diagnose and treat various medical conditions under the supervision of a physician.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including medical imaging.
  • Provide education and counseling to patients regarding their health conditions and treatment options.
  • Administer medications, perform procedures, and assist in surgeries as needed.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record systems such as Epic.
  • Implement infection control protocols to ensure patient safety.
  • Participate in home care visits for patients requiring ongoing support.
  • Stay current with advancements in medical terminology, radiation therapy, and other relevant fields.

Schedule: 6 or 9-hour weekday shifts

No call required

Duties: 1st or 2nd surgical assistant, helping open and close all incisions pertinent to CT surgery, harvesting veins, etc.

Any active, unrestricted state license accepted

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, particularly Epic.
  • Experience with medical imaging techniques and interpretation.
  • Ability to manage infection control measures effectively.
  • Familiarity with senior care practices and home care environments.
  • Skills in ventilating patients when necessary and understanding dialysis processes.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in patient care.

Pay: $116,847.00 – $124,791.00 per year
