Summary:
Lakeside Natural Medicine is a busy natural health and wellness clinic and is accepting applications for an Advanced Practice Nurse Prescribers (APNP) / Physician Assistant position. This position will earn a generous commission on functional medicine consultation fees, nutritional IV therapy procedures, and supplement sales. We are looking for someone who is able to administer nutritional IVs and see patients part-time. Opportunity to add clinic time if mutually agreeable and depending on business needs. We expect the number of patients per month will grow over time as APNP/PA’s practice is established. Growth will depend on marketing activity by the APNP/PA.

Expectations:
- Employee of Lakeside Natural Medicine
- Passionate about functional medicine, “food as medicine” & an integrative approach
- Experience administering IVs in a clinic or hospital setting
- Certified by IFM (Institute for Functional Medicine) or working toward certification
- See patients on a commission basis
- APNP/PA maintains a license to practice medicine in the State of Wisconsin
- Maintain APNP certification from a national certifying body approved by the Board of Nursing
- Maintain prescribing authority in the State of Wisconsin
- Engage in marketing activity: write monthly blog posts for website, article for quarterly e-newsletter, and content for social media
- Maintain professional chart notes in a timely manner
- Respond to employee and patient communications
What Lakeside Natural Medicine provides:
- Scheduling
- Checking patients checking in, checking patients out
- Supplement management
- Taking calls, faxing, patient reminders, clerical administration
- Information technology, computer support, electronic medical records & phone
- Financial administration, payroll, sales and payroll taxes, credit card processing, banking
- Marketing: website, email newsletter, course / workshop curriculum and materials, print materials, print advertising, digital advertising and social media marketing
- Furniture in consultation room & waiting room
- Stocking office and wellness supplies

Compensation Plan:
- Functional medicine consultations fee revenue: 50% APNP/PA, 50% Lakeside
- Supplement profit (profit = sales price before sales tax – cost of supplements,): 50% APNP, 50% Lakeside
- Classes / workshop registration revenue: 50% APNP, 50% Lakeside
- Lakeside pays business operating expenses, employer payroll taxes & sales tax
- Professional license and continuing education allowance
Current rates:
- New patient visit: $280 (60 minutes) *will increase to $300 in January 2025
- Return patient visit: $140 (30 minutes) *will increase to $150 in January 2025
- Supplement markup average 80% to 90%, lower mark-up for some expensive items
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $67.65 – $72.27 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
