Full Job Description

Job Description: Utilizes advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision-making skills, works independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals. Provides health care to individuals and families, emphasizing health promotion and support. They may care for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly. Provides direct surgical support to orthopedic surgeons as well as direct patient care, injury management, postoperative care, injections, and consultations in the clinic setting. This position is for a 0.75 FTE with approximately 3 days per week and benefit eligible.

NP / PA – Orthopedics

PRACTICE SPECIFICS

  • Well established practice treating all aspects of Orthopedics. Full patient care from acute to chronic orthopedic issues.
  • This position will assist in expanding patient access and providing exceptional care throughout our dedicated orthopedic services and locations.
  • Our goal is to work at the top of the scope of practice.
  • The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service while fostering positive relationships with a drive to develop skills and/or have experience with orthopedics.
  • We work as a team and strive to maintain a family/home and work life balance.
  • Assist Orthopedists in surgical cases and hospital rounding.
  • Call is 1:6-10 days
  • Previous orthopedic experience preferred but not required.
  • Outreach to other clinics may be asked. We currently provide orthopedic care in Ripon, Waupaca, Oshkosh, Shawano, and New London.
  • Very Competitive compensation package.
  • Approximately 3-day work week plus call rotation.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Masters or Doctorate degree in Nursing or masters degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
  • Current licensure as a registered nurse in Wisconsin Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Wisconsin Current certification in CPR. Successful completion of the credentialing process prior to practice. Current CPR certification.
