Details:
- Looking for several providers for PRN coverage through 2025
- Inpatient, OR, Clinic and Call coverage
- Practice Description:
- 4 Surgeons, 4 APPs
- Surgeries Performed:
- Robotic lobectomy and thymectomy using DaVinci Xi
- CABG
- AVR/TAVR
- MV repair and replacement
- Thoracotomy and VATS
- LVAD implantation
- Aortic dissection repair
- ECMO
- Duties and Responsibilities:
- Inpatient coverage
- Morning rounds and daily progress notes
- Consults and H&P’s
- Discharges and discharge summaries
- Chest tube management and removal
- First assist in all OR cases
- Endoscopic vein and radial harvesting (Maquet)
- Close sternotomy
- Place post-op orders
- Call coverage
- 1:3 week/weekend rotation
- Finish late cases
- Take call from CCU
- Return to hospital for emergency cases
- Weekend rounding with call surgeon
- Chest tube management
- Discharge and discharge summaries
- Attend multi-disciplinary rounds
- Clinic coverage
- Monday-Thursday
- Post-op patients
- January 1 and ongoing
- EMR: EPIC
- Credentialing: 90-120 days
Skills and Requirements:
- PA or NP certification
- AHA BLS and ACLS certification
- 1 year Cardiothoracic Surgery experience
Pay Rate: $150.00 per hour
Travel Benefits:If you reside greater than 50 miles from the facility you are eligible for travel benefits. You will have your travel and lodging arranged by our travel department and paid for in full.

- Round-trip flight
- Rental car and fuel
- Mileage reimbursement (in lieu of flight and rental car)
- Lodging
This assignment is a 1099 contract position. Malpractice insurance is provided for the duration of the assignment with $1M/$3M coverage limits.
