Northwest Medical Specialties, PLLC has an exciting new opportunity for an Advanced Practice Provider!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Participate in bi-weekly bispecific team meetings
· Provide communications to NWMS staff regarding bispecific updates
· Create and manage Bispecific Antibody Patient Management SOP
· Help identify patients eligible for bispecific treatment
· Counsel patients on bispecific therapy treatment overview, review expectations and identify caregiver
· Help identify and coordinate with outside caregiving agency, as needed, to arrange appropriate care during high-risk timelines
· Help develop SOP/ policies and procedures for treatment of standard of care for new bispecific therapies
· Develop and maintain teaching materials for each new bispecific drug
· Complete bispecific drug REMS programs as required
· Work with treatment and clinic schedulers to manage bispecific patient schedule and arrange teach, labs, OVs, treatment days
· Provide teaching session with patient and caregiver, provide vitals kit and ensure competency with taking vitals
· Update Onco EMR patient identification tools (banners, pop-ups, etc.) for alerts of patient on bispecific antibody therapy
· Communicate with SJMC staff (pharmacy and 10th floor nursing manager) regarding upcoming bispecific patient timeline
· Arrange oncology 10th floor hospital bed hold through SJMC transfer center to align with high-risk time periods
· Manage NWMS bispecifics provider on-call schedule in coordination with Provider Relations department
· Communicate with NWMS IT when a bispecific therapy call will commence
· Be available to take call or provide back-up call during bispecific high-risk timelines
· Provide patient care through frequent OVs, phone check-ins, and ACC visits as needed during high-risk time periods
· Communicate with primary oncologist during bispecific therapy regarding updates and shared patient care
· Provide routine bispecific patient email summary to bispecific team
· Order and review labs, scans and other diagnostic procedures and make treatment decisions as per Research and SOC protocol.
· Manage CRS and ICANs per bispecific protocol
· Accompany patient to NWMS for CRS/ICANs management and Tocilizumab administration, PRN
· Admit patient to the hospital for CRS and ICANs management, PRN
· Perform other duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications:

· Minimum of 1 year of experience in hematology and oncology preferred.
· Current, unrestricted license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of Washington.
· Active Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and National Provider Identifier (NPI) numbers, as well as prescriptive authority.
· Certification in Oncology or Hematology is highly desirable but not required.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
· Experience navigating EMR systems.
· Ability to operate basic office equipment such as telephones, computers, fax and copy machines.
· Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
· Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
· Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

This position is in a standard medical office environment with desktop business equipment and frequent telephone calls. There may be frequent interruptions and high utilization on some days and low utilization on others. The noise level is moderate.

Pay: $115,000.00 – $152,000.00 per year
