Full-Time Physician Assistant (PA) wanted for an opening with a sports medicine orthopedic surgery practice in Gig Harbor, Washington. We’re looking for a dynamic PA that is open to being part of our team at Pro Sport. The group’s long-term vision is a comprehensive sports medicine institute, incorporating a full spectrum of conservative and surgical treatment options. New graduate and experienced Physician Assistant (PA) candidates will be considered.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work duties will be a blend of time spent as a first assist in the OR and time in the clinical setting directly.
  • Clinic is run with a team approach, consisting of separate PA and surgeon clinics running in parallel (each provider will assist the other, as necessary).
  • Patient demographic and surgical practice is ~85% sports medicine
  • Surgical cases: Primarily arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder, hip, knee, elbow, and ankle
  • The PA-C will perform a mix of initial consults, established patient visits, and post-surgical follow up visits with orthopedic patients.
  • Perform in office procedures, including injections with and without use of the ultrasound (ultrasound training will be provided, if necessary)
  • Order and perform x-ray, interpret images, including MRI and x-ray.
  • Prescribe medication as necessary and/or as directed.
  • Utilize and become proficient in EMR (Electronic Medical Records).
  • Ideal candidates should be well-spoken, team driven, and be able to explain complicated medical information and treatment options to patients.
  • No ER Call obligations

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Physician Assistant Certified (PA-C)

The pay range for this role is:
120,000 – 160,000 USD per year (Gig Harbor)
