Physician Assistant-Orthopedic
Position open for a Physician Assistant to cover clinical duties and to assist in surgery (orthopedic). We are a private, sub-specialty orthopedic surgery practice in Spokane, WA, with a primary emphasis on Total Joint Replacement. Our PA’s are given a lot of responsibility for seeing patients in the clinic, and assisting in the OR. The outpatient clinic is located in Spokane (Northside) and we work exclusively at two private surgical facilities in Post Falls. 95% of our cases are done same-day. There is no ER call of any kind, and no hospital rounds.The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter who desires a surgical practice including major orthopedic surgery/joint replacement, and who wants to work with an independent, progressive private practice.
Requirements
Active, Washington and Idaho State Physician Assistant license
Board Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C)
Candidates with 1-2 years surgical experience preferred. Orthopedic experience requested, but not required.

*Maintain patient charts in EMR system
*Ability to be a first assistant in surgeries
*Perform hospital rounds for inpatients
*Accurately obtain patient history
*Perform physical exam
*Assess and diagnose patients
*Develop and implement a management plan.
*Facilitate the referral of patients to the appropriate health facilities, agencies and resources
*Order pharmacologic interventions
*Develop and implement an educational plan
*Plan for appropriate follow-up care
