Full Job Description

Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant – Plastics / Surgical Vienna, VA Pay From: $40 per hour MUST : Experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Must licensed in Virginia BLS/CPR Excellent communication skills EMR experience Plastic Surgery or OR experience highly desired 2 plus years of hands on clinical experience DUTIES: Work in the aesthetic and ambulatory side of the practice.

Perform or assist with in-office procedures and treatments (e.g., injectables, lasers, PRP, etc.)

Develop customized treatment plans in collaboration with the surgeon

Prescribe medications and manage post-surgical care as needed

Work with all members of the health care team to provide optimal care to the patient throughout his/her surgical experience Maintain a friendly, positive and caring attitude with all patients, physicians and staff Maintain excellent physical and mental health Provide patient education during all phases of the patient’s experience at the Center Ensure that equipment is functioning properly Provide patient education during all phases of the patient experience at the Center Requires the ability to assists the physician during surgery and procedures by functioning in the circulating role. The position coordinates the activities of the Anesthesiologist, Surgical Technologist, and Surgeon to ensure safe patient care. Requires the ability to ensure patient safety through appropriate transport, transfer and positioning of patient. Requires the ability to ensure appropriate levels of supplies and equipment to provide safe patient care. Requires the ability to monitor the environment to ensure sterile technique is maintained throughout the procedure Requires the ability to operate and trouble shoot OR surgical equipment Requires the ability to perform professional intra-operative nursing care of the patient by utilizing the nursing care process and making a plan for patient care. Must be flexible, and open to change along with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast paced environment. Must be able to work in with other nursing staff in the pre-op, OR, and PACU, as well as with ancillary staff, to provide safe, efficient patient care.
