Absolute Dermatology & Skin Cancer Center located in Glen Allen and Chesterfield, Virginia, provides comprehensive dermatology services to people living in and around Richmond. The combined skills of our Mohs and General Dermatology providers allows the practice to offer complete dermatologic care for every patient. The practice provides a team-based approach to patient evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment.
Absolute Dermatology is looking to add a Physician Assistant to our growing team! This position requires travel between both Absolute Dermatology locations in Chesterfield and Henrico.
Clinical Duties
- Performs comprehensive histories and physical exams, identifies normal and abnormal findings.
- Orders and interprets laboratory and diagnostic tests.
- Develops pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical treatment plans.
- Monitors effectiveness of plan of care.
- Educates patients on conditions and treatment plans.
- Performs procedures as trained and appropriately privileged.
- Documents within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and completes other necessary documents.
- Collaborates and/or consults with physicians and other health care providers as appropriate.
- General dermatology
- Various medical procedures such as biopsy, skin cancer screenings, LN2 treatment for warts and pre-cancerous lesions, allergy patch testing, fungal cultures and other procedures as needed.
- Cosmetic dermatology, including Botox and filler procedures.
- Laser procedures for both cosmetic and medical conditions.
- See approximately 30 patients per day.
Education/Certification: Physician Assistantrequires a diploma from an accredited Physician Assistant Program and Virginia license
Experience: 1 year Dermatology experience
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and moving.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.
- Possible exposure to chemicals, bloodborne pathogens, and patient body fluids.

Pay: $100,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year
