Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cardiology Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive care to patients with cardiovascular conditions. This position requires a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. The Cardiology Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and managing patient care while promoting health education and disease prevention.

Duties

  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients with cardiovascular issues, including taking medical histories and performing physical examinations.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and evidence-based practices.
  • Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and provide ongoing education regarding cardiovascular health.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Document all patient interactions accurately in medical records using systems such as eClinical Works (eCW).
  • Provide education to patients and their families regarding heart health, medication management, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical protocols.
  • Engage in professional development activities to stay current with advancements in cardiology nursing practice.

Skills

  • Strong clinical skills in cardiology or related fields such as Medical-surgical or PICU experience.
  • Proficiency in medical documentation practices and familiarity with electronic health record systems like eCW.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare team members.

Pay: $95,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year
