We are seeking a dedicated and skilled licensed Physician Assistant to join our collaborative team and contribute to our mission of providing comprehensive, high-quality care to our diverse patient population.
Job Summary
As a licensed Physician Assistant at our primary care practice, you will work under the supervision of our physicians to provide a wide range of medical services. You will be an integral part of our healthcare team, responsible for diagnosing and treating various health conditions, promoting preventive care, and educating patients on maintaining their health and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct patient examinations, obtain medical histories, and perform physical assessments
- Diagnose and treat a variety of acute and chronic medical conditions
- Prescribe medications and treatments within the scope of practice
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory work and imaging studies
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians
- Provide patient education on disease prevention, health maintenance, and lifestyle modifications
- Assist in minor surgical procedures and provide post-operative care
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive electronic medical records
- Participate in team meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing education programs
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective patient care
- Adhere to all state and federal regulations, as well as practice policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Current Virginia state licensure as a Physician Assistant
- NCCPA certification and maintenance of certification
- DEA registration and prescriptive authority in Virginia
- Minimum of 1 years of experience as a Physician Assistant in primary care (preferred)
- Strong clinical skills and ability to manage diverse patient cases
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $130,000.00 – $140,000.00 per year
