We are focused on delivering exceptional care in the post-acute rehab setting across multiple acute inpatient rehabilitation units and stand-alone facilities in Richmond and the surrounding area. Our goal is to get patients to a level of functional independence and ensure that the transition of care from hospital to home is smooth.
Job Description:
As a Physician Assistant, you will play a crucial role in managing patient care in the inpatient setting in collaboration with a diverse team of healthcare professionals. You will provide medical services in collaboration with our physicians to include patient evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning, and simple invasive procedures such as large joint injections. Your expertise will contribute significantly to maximizing patient recovery in these settings and allowing them to return home functionally independent after severe illness/injury.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Admit, discharge, consult, and round on inpatients
- Developing robust care plans with input from many specialist physicians including physiatrists, internists and internal medicine subspecialists, and surgeons
- Coordinating care plans with rehabilitation professionals including physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, rehabilitation nurses, and case managers
- Accurately documenting visits in H&Ps/progress notes/discharge summaries/consult notes
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $120,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
