OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, providing high-quality medical care to patients in both Level I and Level II Trauma Centers. This role requires a strong foundation in medical-surgical practices, as well as proficiency in medical terminology and physiology. The Physician Assistant will be responsible for diagnosing and treating various health conditions, performing procedures, and collaborating with physicians to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough physical examinations and obtain detailed patient histories.
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, including performing necessary procedures.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
  • Assist in the management of patients in both trauma centers, ensuring adherence to protocols.
  • Educate patients on health maintenance, disease prevention, family planning, and pediatrics.
  • Perform basic life support procedures as needed during emergencies.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Stay updated on advancements in medical practices and participate in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and physiology.
  • Experience or familiarity with medical-surgical settings is preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment.
  • Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems for patient management.
  • Basic life support certification is required; advanced certifications are a plus.
  • Experience with pediatrics or family planning is desirable but not mandatory.
