Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant – Urgent CareRichmond, VA
We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our urgent care team in Richmond. Our center provides walk-in care for a wide range of non-emergent medical needs, from minor injuries and illnesses to occupational health services.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered urgent care services to patients of all ages
- Perform physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and prescribe appropriate treatments
- Manage urgent care procedures (suturing, splinting, I&Ds, wound care, etc.)
- Collaborate with supervising physicians, nursing staff, and support staff to ensure smooth clinic operations
- Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently in the EMR system
- Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations as well as clinic protocols
Qualifications:
- Licensed NP or PA in the Commonwealth of Virginia
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in urgent care, family medicine, or emergency medicine required
- Strong procedural skills (suturing, splinting, wound care, abscess drainage, etc.)
- Ability to manage a broad spectrum of urgent medical conditions independently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexible and able to work a mix of weekdays, evenings, and weekends
Schedule & Compensation:
- Part-time and full-time positions available
- Mix of 12-hour shifts with competitive pay
