Job OverviewWe are seeking a qualified and compassionate Physician Assistant or Nurse Injector for our growing Aesthetics Practice located in Gainesville, VA. This role involves providing safe, effective, and personalized aesthetic treatments, including dermal fillers and botulinum toxin injections. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in medicine/nursing, with experience in medical aesthetics, and demonstrate excellent patient care skills. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on enhancing patient confidence and well-being through advanced aesthetic procedures. Experience in Weight Loss Management, GLP-1 medications and/or Cosmetic Lasers preferred.
Duties
- Administer Botox, dermal fillers, and other injectable treatments following established protocols and safety standards.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
- Educate patients on procedure options, expected outcomes, post-treatment care, and potential risks.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinic policies.
- Ensure aseptic technique during all procedures to prevent infection and promote patient safety.
- Monitor patients during and after treatments to manage any adverse reactions or complications effectively.
- Collaborate with the medical team to develop treatment strategies that align with best practices and current aesthetic trends.
- Stay current with advancements in aesthetic medicine, including new techniques, products, and regulatory guidelines such as ICD-10 coding for documentation purposes.
- Assist in maintaining a sterile environment by adhering to infection control protocols and sterilization procedures.
- Assists patient in weight loss program using GLP-1 medications
- Cosmetic lasers including skin procedures and hair removal.
- Be prepared for potential emergencies, having knowledge of equipment and supplies necessary.
Skills
- Valid Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner or Registered Nurse license with experience administering injections; certification in aesthetic injectables preferred.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems for accurate documentation.
- Knowledge of botulinum toxin treatment techniques and dermal filler applications.
- Strong understanding of anatomy relevant to facial aesthetics and injection sites.
- Excellent patient assessment skills with the ability to communicate effectively about treatment options and expectations.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, aseptic technique, and infection control standards.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with diverse patient populations, including those with special needs or complex medical histories and wide range of ethnicities, is a plus.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations including HIPAA compliance is essential.
