We are looking for a Nurse Practitioner/ Physician Assistant M-F, 9-5.

We are seeking a compassionate, skilled Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our walk-in and primary care clinic. The provider will provide high-quality, patient-centered care across the lifespan, delivering acute, chronic, and preventive services. This role also includes performing Veteran Disability Examinations in accordance with federal and clinical guidelines.

As a Nurse Practitioner, you’ll have to work closely with other healthcare professionals, so you should have a team spirit and a positive attitude. Patience, problem-solving skills and communication ability are important.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Care

  • Provide comprehensive primary and urgent care services including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up
  • Manage acute illnesses, minor injuries, and chronic conditions
  • Perform preventive care services, health screenings, and wellness exams
  • Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests and lab results
  • Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans in accordance with state and federal regulations
  • Educate patients on disease prevention, health maintenance, and treatment plans

Veteran Disability Examinations

  • Conduct veteran disability medical examinations per VA guidelines
  • Perform detailed medical histories and physical examinations
  • Accurately document findings in required systems and forms
  • Ensure objective, thorough, and compliant evaluations

Administrative & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate, timely, and complete medical records in the EHR
  • Adhere to clinic policies, state laws, and federal regulations
  • Collaborate with physicians, clinical staff, and administrative team
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinic meetings

Skills

  • Proven experience as Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant in a clinic, hospital, ER or other setting
  • Expertise in primary care, acute care and chronic care practices
  • Knowledge of health and patient care regulations
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong ethics
  • Team spirit with a positive attitude
  • Patience and cool-headedness
  • Willingness to continue gaining knowledge and clinical experience
  • Valid license

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $80.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
