We are seeking a skilled Locums Occupational Medicine Physician Assistant to join our team in Chesapeake, VA. This role offers a consistent Monday to Friday schedule, with some flexibility to address walk-in injuries. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing care in an occupational medicine setting and possess the required certifications and experience to excel in this dynamic position.
The schedule for this role is Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to close, which is typically at 4:30 PM. However, the schedule may extend if there are walk-in injuries that require attention. Responsibilities include treating workers’ compensation cases, injuries, and illnesses in an occupational health environment. The Physician Assistant will perform physical exams, conduct assessments and diagnostics, and develop and manage care and treatment plans for injured employees. Additional duties include assisting with employee health screenings, providing preventive care, and collaborating with physicians and other healthcare team members to deliver optimal care.
Requirements:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Board Certification as a Physician Assistant
- DOT (Department of Transportation) certification
- Active Virginia medical license
