Job description
Our well-stablished Endocrinology private practice, Axis Diabetes & Endocrinology in Bedford is currently looking for a Physician Assistant. •
Current requirement Part time- 2-3 days a week and in future may extend to full time within a year if desired. Hours : 9 am – 5 pm
Start pay 45/hr which will be increased with time
Duties: – Provide outpatient clinic care to patients, including diagnosing and treating diabetes and
Other endocrine problems – Perform physical examinations and order diagnostic tests as needed – Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with Endocrinologist. Will be closely supervised in the beginning. May see close to 12-15 patients a day over time.
No procedures at this time but over time will get training if need be for simple bedside procedures.
Candidate with be expected to gain good knowledge of medical terminology and proficiency in conducting physical examinations and interpreting diagnostic tests – Familiarity with ICD-9 coding system for accurate documentation and billing purposes.
Valid Physicians Assistant license in Texas is required.
Should be able to commute to Bedford and occasionally to Irving.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week
