The Physician Assistant Program in the Division of Physician Assistant Education and Sciences at the University of Utah Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine at the University of Utah is seeking applicants for a 12-month faculty position, career-line (rank and track DOQ ). The program’s close affiliation with the University of Utah Health Sciences Center provides faculty an opportunity to become involved in research, clinical work and education.

Job Responsibilities:

We seek an experienced physician assistant educator to join our faculty team. The successful applicant will serve as a general physician assistant program faculty member at the Salt Lake City campus with primary responsibilities within the clinical year. This is a 12-month faculty position with rank commensurate with qualifications.

The responsibilities of this position will primarily be teaching (both lecture and small group), assessment and administration of the clinical year curriculum. Additionally, the faculty member will participate in master’s project advising, accreditation-mandated program evaluation and planning as well as advisement and assessment of students.

Qualifications-Required:

Applicant must have a master’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited academic institution. The following are also requirements:

  • A current NCCPA certification
  • Hold or be eligible for unrestricted Utah State PA licensure
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Interest in areas that align with our program mission is strongly preferred
  • A strong interest in scholarship and professional development
  • Three years of clinical experience is preferred.
  • Doctoral degree preferred
