Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our sleep disorders clinic on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to patients with various sleep disorders, including sleep apnea, insomnia, restless legs syndrome, and narcolepsy. This role involves direct patient care, including conducting evaluations, developing treatment plans, and providing ongoing management of sleep-related conditions.

Essential Job Functions: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients with sleep-related issues, including detailed history taking, physical examinations, and ordering appropriate diagnostic tests. Interpret sleep study results and other diagnostic tests to diagnose and manage sleep disorders. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients, including prescribing medications, providing behavioral therapy recommendations, and referring patients to specialists when necessary. Educate patients and their families on sleep hygiene, lifestyle modifications, and treatment options. Monitor and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress and response to therapy. Collaborate with physicians, sleep technologists, and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated and comprehensive care. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including documenting patient interactions, treatment plans, and follow-up care. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical protocols related to sleep disorders. Stay current with the latest research and developments in the field of sleep medicine.

Qualifications: Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in the state of Utah. National certification as an NP or PA. Previous experience in sleep medicine, pulmonology, neurology, or a related field is preferred. Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively educate and engage patients. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred

Hours: As needed, but will most likely be Thursday and Fridays, 7:30 am – 5 pm
