Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner

Tanner Clinic has an immediate opening for a Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner in ENT

Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct physical exams, assess health status, order and interprets tests, prescribe medications, and treat injuries and illnesses.
• Consult with physician as needed and refer to physicians for more complicated medical cases or cases that are not a routine part of a PA’s or NP’s scope of work.
• Triage and evaluate patient problems.
• Counsel patient/family on preventive health care.
• Review patient records, interpret and integrate data to determine appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures needed in conjunction with the physician or under the direction of a physician.
• Monitor therapies and provide continuity of care.
• Interview and advises patient regarding health and illness prevention; instruct patient and family regarding medications and treatment instructions.

Requirements:

Education:

• For Physician Assistants – bachelor’s degree and successful completion of accredited physician assistant program; national certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants; current state PA license.
• For Nurse Practitioners – BSN required, MSN preferred; successful completion of advanced practitioner training and certification as a practitioner (general or specialized) from an approved nurse practitioner program.
