Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our urology clinic team. The provider will work collaboratively with supervising physicians to evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with a variety of urologic conditions in an outpatient setting. This role is ideal for a clinically strong provider who values patient-centered care, efficiency, and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Conduct patient evaluations, obtain medical histories, and perform physical examinations
- Diagnose and manage common urologic conditions including BPH, kidney stones, urinary incontinence, hematuria, UTIs, elevated PSA, erectile dysfunction, and other related conditions
- Order, interpret, and review laboratory tests, imaging, and diagnostic studies
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians
- Perform office-based procedures within scope of practice and training
- Provide patient counseling and education regarding diagnoses, medications, procedures, and follow-up care
- Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently within the EMR system
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and administrative personnel to ensure continuity of care
- Participate in call coverage and clinic workflow as assigned
Qualifications
- Current NP or PA license in Utah
- DEA license and prescriptive authority required
- Minimum 1–2 years of clinical experience preferred
- Urology experience preferred but not required; specialty training available for qualified candidates
- Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR)
Preferred Skills
- Experience in outpatient specialty care
- Knowledge of urologic procedures and treatment plans
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to manage a high-volume clinic schedule efficiently
