Mental Health Therapist (LCSW, CSW-depending on experience, Clinical Psychologist, or Doctoral Trainee)

Child and Adolescent Treatment Specialists (CHATS) is an established and growing private-practice counseling clinic in American Fork, Utah, seeking skilled and compassionate therapists who value evidence-based treatment, professional growth, and helping clients in our community achieve meaningful change.

Strong candidates will have experience providing evidence-based psychotherapy to children, adolescents, adults, and families. Our clinic specializes in the treatment of pediatric and adult obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), anxiety disorders, and related conditions. We also provide treatment for depression, mood disorders, emotional dysregulation, and a variety of other mental health concerns.

As a specialty practice, we provide clinicians in our practice with comprehensive training and consultation in OCD treatment, including Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Inference-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (ICBT). Clinicians at CHATS receive ongoing consultation, supervision, and professional development opportunities designed to support clinical growth and the development of specialized expertise in the treatment of OCD, anxiety disorders, and related conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, family, and/or group psychotherapy services
  • Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation
  • Develop and maintain treatment plans
  • Monitor client progress and adjust treatment as needed
  • Coordinate care with physicians, schools, and other professionals when appropriate
  • Maintain ethical and professional standards of practice
  • Utilize outcome measures and evidence-based treatment approaches

Training and experience in evidence-based treatments such as ACT, ERP, CBT, PCIT, TF-CBT, EMDR, ICBT and related approaches are highly valued.

Qualifications

  • Current licensure or eligibility for licensure in Utah
  • CSW, LCSW, Clinical Psychologist, or doctoral student working toward a Ph.D. or Psy.D.
  • Good professional standing with applicable licensing boards
  • Strong diagnostic, treatment-planning, and psychotherapy skills
  • Ability to utilize electronic health records and technology effectively
  • Commitment to high-quality clinical documentation and professional ethics
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and open to ongoing learning and consultation

Position Details

  • Full-time and part-time positions available
  • Typical caseload: 15–30 client hours per week
  • Days and hours are flexible and may vary based on clinician preference and office availability
  • Competitive compensation commensurate with experience
