Full Job Description

Summary of Job Duties

  • Greet and escort patients to exam rooms; obtain and document medical history, chief complaint, and vital signs.
  • Assist providers with physical exams, minor procedures, and patient care coordination.
  • Perform phlebotomy, administer immunizations/injections, and conduct point-of-care tests (EKG, urinalysis, glucose, strep, etc.).
  • Collect, prepare, and label laboratory specimens for analysis.
  • Provide patient education on medications, treatment plans, preventive care, and chronic disease management.
  • Maintain clean, stocked, and organized exam rooms and medical equipment; ensure infection control compliance.
  • Manage electronic health records (EHR/EMR) including documentation, charting, and updating patient information.
  • Schedule appointments, manage referrals, and verify insurance/authorizations.
  • Process prescription refills and communicate provider instructions to patients.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives such as vaccination tracking, preventive screenings, and patient follow-up.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, physicain assistants and office staff to ensure efficient clinic workflow and excellent patient care.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 – $23.00 per hour
