Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Nurse Practitioner specializing in Wound Care and Vascular health. In this vital role, you will deliver expert clinical care focused on complex wound management, vascular assessments, and advanced treatment modalities. Your expertise will directly improve patient outcomes by providing comprehensive evaluations, innovative therapies, and personalized care plans. Duties

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments including detailed wound evaluations, vascular examinations, and physiological assessments to determine appropriate treatment strategies.
  • Develop and implement individualized wound care plans utilizing advanced techniques such as debridement, dressings, compression therapy, and skin grafting when necessary.
  • Perform vascular diagnostics including Doppler ultrasound assessments, ankle-brachial index testing, and other non-invasive vascular studies to identify circulatory issues.
  • Administer specialized treatments such as Botulinum toxin injections for vascular or wound-related conditions and manage complex cases involving acute or chronic wounds.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, physical therapists, and case managers to coordinate comprehensive patient care and discharge planning.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Epic or eClinicalWorks, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Educate patients and their families on wound management, vascular health maintenance, medication administration, and lifestyle modifications to promote healing and prevent recurrence.

Skills

  • Proven experience with EMR systems
  • Expertise in advanced wound management techniques including suturing, aseptic technique, and infection control protocols.
  • Strong knowledge of vascular assessment tools like Doppler ultrasound and ankle-brachial index testing.
  • Critical care experience in settings such as ICU or Level I Trauma Centers enhances diagnostic acumen.
  • Experience working with diverse populations including pediatric (pediatrics), geriatric (geriatrics), hospice & palliative medicine, or assisted living environments.
  • Knowledge of CPT coding, ICD-10 coding standards for accurate billing and documentation.
  • Ability to perform physical examinations, vital signs assessment, venipuncture, IV infusion, catheterization, and other invasive procedures confidently.
  • Strong understanding of infection control practices in sterile processing environments.
  • Excellent patient care skills with a focus on trauma-informed approaches including airway management and acute pain management strategies.
